I'M MELTING!!!

Really, is there anymore to say? Seriously, it is so flippin' hot out today (I guess I should include yesterday and about everyday for the past month too) and I am melting! How is it possibly natural to live in heat like this? Today I am super thankful for A/C and for cool water!

We're now in the home stretch to move though...only one month from today and we'll be driving up the I-5! For the next month we will be living ghettofabulous; we sold our couch and chair and now have our extra guest bed out in the living room serving as furniture. HA!! It is actually pretty bad, b/c we have tile and it rolls all over the place.

One more thing to add to the countdown-Breaking Dawn comes out in just about a month! Who else is excited? I can't wait!!!

who would have thought?

i'm sure as most of you know we're getting ready to take off for oregon next month and i can't believe all the things that go into 1,356 miles away...with that said, it is all very exciting, but it is driving me absolutely nuts! seriously, i am such a planner and i'm freaking, b/c i can't take care of everything when i want to (e.g. finding a job). Yes, finding a job...this truly is my least favorite thing in life! i'm sorry if it sounds like i'm a complaining freak, but right now i'm using my blog as a place for release. i have spent the last several hours searching the internet for jobs and the more i look the more frustrated i get. you'd think places would be able to tell you the pay range, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO they want you take the time to fill out all their application requirements :(. enough with that, we did find a place to live and all our household belongings are scheduled to be picked up on july 28th so things are moving right along and that makes me happy. if anyone is looking for a job i'll hire you to find me one! happy weekend to everyone!

Memorial Day

Not much in the way of happenings, but I thought I should share all my pictures from our trip to New Mexico over the long weekend...here they are:
Yep, that's right that is all of them! My family is so very lame about having there picture taken...my Poppy doesn't really care too much about it, but I can't seem to get him to look at the camera or his eyes are always closed. Oh well, I tried I guess. The picture of the dog is their crazy dog Angie that refuses to get within 1o feet of anyone other than my grandparents and my uncle. Seriously, we were there for three freakin' nights and the dog would not come near us at all and this happens each time we visit. Highlights of our trip: going to the Pecan Farms, seeing Barack Obama driving down the street on the way to his speech at park in Las Cruces....seriously, a speech in Las Cruces??? I just don't quite understand that one, teaching my Poppy how to email with attachments and watching him discover Utube. Hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend! PS-I started the Host this weekend and I'm not sure what to think of it. Has anyone else started it yet?

Pure Anxiety

When the writers strike happened this past fall I found a great deal on several TV series and I have been watching them ever since. So far we have finished Freak and Geeks, My So Called Life, Northern Exposure and tonight I just finished the X-files. I know, that sounds like several hours wasted on television, but the TV series are addicting. When I say series I mean I watched all 7 seasons of Northern Exposure and all 9 of X-files. Sad to say, but I have a strange feeling of separation anxiety...I'd say 25% from the actual shows being over, but 75% because I won't get to see my TV boyfriends anymore! Patrick Dempsey who? No way man, I'm talking about the men that get my heart a fluttering (in addition to Mr. Blake of course)-drum roll please.....David Duchovny and John Corbett (if you don't know he was in Northern Exposure as a kind of hippy DJ)! They are both soooooo dreamy in ever way! They both sure can make a gals heart go pitter patter. Blake has teased me at times and likes to tell me that David Duchovny a.k.a My Mulder is also one of his mom's favorites-well, I guess that she just has good taste. Okay, okay, okay, I'll stop my day dreaming now.

By the way Ame, the totally kissed several times! Did you give up on the show before it ended? They L-O-V-E each other! It is okay though, b/c I dig Scully.

Oh, and if any of you were worried about me having withdrawls I'll get to My Mulder this summer in the X-files movie! Hooray! For reals-when on earth would I ever get so involved in a Scifi show?

"This is the last rose of the night"....Why so dramatic season after season?

Okay, okay...I must admit that I have been a long time viewer of ABC's The Bachelor and the Bachelorette, but I gave it up after the first episode of last season The Bachelor-London...it just seemed so blah after the first few minutes. With that said, due to Jen's text about the show and Blake reading it (Blake loves these shows believe it or not) we just started watching the Bachelorette that we DVR'd last night and thus far I am not impressed. As if a guy was shown shaving his chest hair in the first two minutes of the show!! Gross! I don't need to see that! That is all my venting for the day...enjoy! I'm not sure if I'll stick the season out, but I might lose the fight to Blake because I can hear him cracking up right now while watching. By the way, has anybody noticed how much she blinks her eyes????
